I need 8Gb of Ram for my laptop, for work related stuff (estimating some stuff for my thesis). I check on apple.ca for seeing exactly what memory I need for my laptop, and this is it:

The reason I am posting this is that the market value of this item is around 70-80 dollars, check for example:

I like Apple products and I think they are very innovative company, but I do not like that they really want to rip off the customers that trust them the most, i.e. those that do not look around and are not super informed or caring about IT stuff. My mum for example would buy it straight from here without realising what Apple is doing. A shame. This should stop.
And many products are like this, pretty much all accessories on apple websites are priced in a way that makes the Sicilian mafia look fair and reasonable by comparison… Try for example to buy an imac adding a few extra things (that are usually cheap if bought separately from other stores) and look at the price.
Comments are very welcome.

I think everyone should have realized the fact when he/she decided to buy any Apple products. So it is not that shocking to me and I am a PC guy. lol
Thanks for the comment Lucy!
I think that not every Apple product is overpriced, all of the “extras” definitely are though…
i am totally dissapointed but I don’t know you can call it as a fraud… I never bought apple stuff from apple store just because I know they can be more expensive because of all the marketing and advertisement… Yet I definitely feel bad for those who (like your mother) believe things at the store to be reliable price.
